Sunday School and Bible teaching and
reaching:
Our Sunday school, in small group settings, provide for
open discussion of scriptures and life application of scriptures. A great
opportunity to get answers and views of others and develop friendships that
will last forever.
* An elected Sunday School director administers and
shares class content
* General assembly is held in the sanctuary prior to classes
at 9:30 AM
* Special announcements are made and visitors received and
directed
* Classes for all ages Newborn through Seniors
* Objectives are
to meet everyone's needs according to development
* Elective classes are
available for adults
* Challenges are given to grow in numbers and
spiritually
We believe that Sunday School small groups provide the best
opportunities for learning and communicating God's objectives for life
applications and building lifetime bonds.
Music
Ministry:
Many opportunities are available to use your musical
talents and gifts. Our choir meets each Sunday evening at 5:00 P.M. for practice
and then they present their selections each Sunday morning during the offertory
praise. Special singing, poem reading, and drama are scheduled with the Music
Director and then each of their selections are presented during Sunday Morning
or evening worship times. Our Praise team, Sisters of Salvation, lead
congregational singing on Sunday mornings and at other community events.
Men's Ministry:
Special
speakers are invited to address the men on various topics of interest. The men
plan special events on a non routine schedule. Promise keeper events are usually
attended.
Women's Ministries:
The WMU (Women's
Missionary Union) meet on the first Tuesday of each month for missionary
study, determine card mailing, plan meals for recuperating church members,
special needs for members, prayer and fellowship. WMU promotes the three special
offerings annually that the church supports for missionary and mission needs.
They are Ray Roberts offering for state missions, Lottie Moon Christmas offering
for foreign missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter offering for
missions.
